Today I would like to speak on gratitude which by definition means the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. As I continue on my journey I try to cultivate the habit of being grateful.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” – Unknown
Unfortunately I don’t know where the quote originated from but I loved the specific points it touched upon. In my opinion being grateful is the key to finding true happiness. We must lift up our spirits on the pursuit of making our dreams a reality. In that pursuit we can’t forget to be thankful for what we have a that present moment. The way to open the door of endless possibilities is to be grateful for the present. After all the present is a ‘gift’.
There are a multitude of things I am grateful for but the number blessing in my life is my family. That is my Mother, my father, my older brother and my younger brother. I like to call ourselves “my starting five” lol. As I gain more experience on this earth I realize that not everyone comes from a family like mine. I was blessed with a strong foundation and for that I forever will be indebted.
I am home for the Thanksgiving break so I practically begged my brother to help me and then proceeded to drag him to our High School football field. We snuck into the bleachers (they will probably increase security after this post lol) and just started shooting. It was a good time for my brother to express his creative outlet and I am very happy with his genuine effort.
I went for a more trendy look with a pair of clear perspex heeled boots. Once I had the shoes picked out I chose a dress that’s so 90’s style with the white tee underneath.
